It's stock. 320 grit paper, then 1000 grit, then 2000, on a DA. I used auto paint mcguires buff compound and buffer.

Anyone ever heard that an lsx engine takes two different head gaskets? Guy at racemart told me this today.

Mine uses 2 different head gaskets On LSX blocks need 2 different

I havent pulled my head yet, but my guess would be the inner and outer additional bolting are not centered, so each gasket has a Top and Front location that must be kept.

I know they sell them in pairs with arrows facing the front of the engine. Guess that makes them unique to each side. IIRC it was pretty obvious if you switched sides, the cooling channels didn't line up.
