Default Pcv?????

Do i have to run a pcv valve? carbed 2002 lsi in 66 chevelle.

You don't have to. Most consider a PCV a good thing.

I was told, so I am under the assumption, that the PCV is good for breaking the engine in. After that it's not needed.

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say that before.

Crankcase venting of some type is a good thing.

One guy on here always hated the pcv system so I read most of his discussions on the matter. That's what he said break the engine in with the pcv after that ditch it for a breather or catch can setup. Air and fuel is the only thing you want getting into there.

I forgot to mention you gotta have the crankcase vented. I was at work and running around my bad for any confusion there.
