Default Lm7 in c10 trans question

Building a mild street truck out of my 85 c-10. Going to drop a 5.3 in with a carb. 219/228 ls1 hot cam possibly. Want to go biggest cam without having to do a big stall converter. I'm trying to keep trans as simple as I can but I doubt the turbo 350 will hold up. Any suggestions on a trans that is a pretty easy install

A th400 will be as easy as the th350 only stronger.

I know I will have to get some adaptor engine mounts to get the 5.3 to fit. Once the tranny is bolted up will the driveshaft still fit or will I have to change some more stuff out?

4l80e flex plate, and the spacer they sell with it along with the longer bolts and it'll bolt right up.

If you have the cash, a 4L80 is totally worth it, a used one for 600$ will hold 600 HP of it is not a 400k mile worn unit. The one in my 86 YA had 198k miles and works need ect behind my 5.3 with a cam.

A th350 will work perfect if it is rebuilt, and if it has low miles it will hold as long as you aren't beating it to death.

A th400 and 80 would require drive shaft length change. Otherwise a stock location swap plate setup will keep the factory drive shaft length and fit like it was made for the truck as mentioned.

The 4l80, will it need anything extra? Other than the adaptor plate? Bolt up hook speedo cAble back up and call it good?
