Default Livernois Stg II Heads

My new Livernois Stg II heads showed up. I'm hoping to put these on this weekend. Hopefully they perform as good as they look.
From the time I ordered them till the arrived was about 10 days, so pretty happy with that. However, they didn't include any of the info I asked for, such as, how much was taken off for clean up, max valve drop, and spring pressures. All of which I asked for and was told I would get. I figured a build sheet would be included and possibly flow numbers. I emailed my sales guy and asked about it, his reply was, they we're suppose to put them in there. That was it! I'd be lying if I didn't say that has kind of left a crappy taste in my mouth, especially after spending $1500 and was told I'd get it. Anyway...

Same here, that's why I choose them. Plus I didn't want any downtime.

Call back and talk to the boss. Then you will get the info you were promised.

Got some of the info today through email, and I was promised the rest soon, then that's the next step.
Either way I'm still excited but would like what I was promised.
Can't wait to get them on this weekend.

Ok guys, I'm kind of stumped. I was swapping the heads this weekend, when I pulled the drivers side head I found #7 hasn't been firing. The plug looks a new as the day I put it in and the top of the piston is still clean. What has me scratching my head is, the car ran really well. Didn't cut up or act like a misfire or a dead cylinder. And when I was plugged into the MSD box with my computer, it didn't appear to have a misfire throught the rpm range. Is there anyway to read mifires and tell if a coil isn't firing with the MSD software? I'm hoping the coil is bad and not something wrong with the MSD box. Anyway, I have a new one on the way.

Put a plug in that wire and crank the engine over and see if it fires? Maybe that cylinder is running a little lean because its the furthest one back? Let us know what happens. Eric L

The heads were bled. I thought it might be lean but there's not any fire makes on the plug, it looks like it just came out of the box.

Adding a cylinder ought to make a nice performance improvement LOL.

I would check the MSD harness and plugs carefully.

You think. Lol
Once I get it back together, I'll check everything out. I just wish there was a way to tell. I guess that's the advantage of staying with the stock efi and computer system. It's just crazy that it ran so well, and I couldn't tell it was down a cylinder.

Make sure you change the oil a couple times. When the cylinder isn't firing, a good amount of fuel ends up in the crank case.

Got it all back to gether and fired it up, still no fire on #7. Replaced the coil, still no fire. Checked plugs and plug wires and ohmed the harness, which all check good and still no fire. I'll have to now check the wire going from the MSD box to the coil pack. I hope it's not the box itself.
I just can't figure out why it starts and runs so well, and with no stumbles without that cylinder firing. The thing sounds great and idles well. This is driving me crazy...

At least the harness is easy enough to check.

Well, I found the issue. The pins in the connectors at the box and on the harness are a little jacked up. Been this way since day one and I just never caught it. I straightened the male one out and dug the little plastic piece out of the female side, so hopefully I get a good connection now and have fire to number 7. I'll know this weekend. Should add a couple of HP.
