Default fuel pump??

Alright so ive gone carbed on my 99 z28 i have the 6ls box and mallory regulator all the wiring not needed for the old fuel injection has been removed im still using the stock in tank pump with a 1/2in return line off the regulator question is when i turn the key on the pump primes but after i belive it stays off. Fuel pressure goes from 6 1/2 down to zero when the cars running in a matter of 20secs is there a way to tap the fuel pump relay into the ignition relay to keep the pump on when running or what would be the best way to do so?

I have done that many times, if you pull the rear carpet up that is behind the rear seats, you will see the wires that go to the fuel pump and sender. It should also have a relay under the hood that has a wire that can be jumped to a constant 12 bolt key ignition position or use a switch if you like. Or a combination of the two.

I just wish I could tell you which relay and wires to use, I just do not remember the color.

The computer does that. When you eliminate EFI, you have to make it work. I've done it several times on trucks. 3rd gens and a couple LT1 4th gens.

The fuel pump relay should be labeled in the relay center if it's located there. Eric L

Needto switch the tack to 8 cylinder mode. Usually people put it in 4 cylinder mode and wore it to the stock LS setup with Efi.
