Default 4.8 pistons in 5.3 power gain??

Just wondering really meant flattops??I'll end up buying new from summit then try in find cam.I no everyone will say go 6.0 but this motor is in great condition..I'd go turbo but have no idea on how or were to start.hell I just dropped this n my swb 89 s10.th350 8.8 4.10 fixing to convert to e85 with 750dp.any help please let me no

I would bore out and use stock LS1 pistons before I even thought about pulling it apart to do any work. Balancing and new bearings will end up costing the same or more than a 6 liter short block, maybe a long block.

I don't know how good those cast replacement pistons are. Back in my old turbo Regal days, we learned early on that the cast replacement pistons were not nearly as strong as the factory paint buckets.

If you want a used set with the floating rods and new rings let me know! I have a set with new bearings and 70,xxx miles on them I was told when I bought the engine.
