MSD 6010 Autometer tach setting

Default MSD 6010 Autometer tach setting
Hi guys, I can't find a definite answer to this question. I have this Autometer tachometer and I'm using the black 6010 box. Can anyone tell me what the tach should be set to, 4, 6, or 8 cylinder? I've found threads here and there with a few different answers.

It delivers an 8 cylinder signal, you should be set with that.
