Default gain compression or ???

Thinking of milling heads, i have less than 10-1 now on pump gas. If i get a little over 10-1 you think i will need to pull timing and end up about where im at or would it be worth it?

What heade? How much mill now? What size (thickness and hole size) gasket? I doubt you get out of 93 octane range until 11.5. Depends on the cam. Raising the compression should be on you to do list if you really are below 10 to 1.

Might be worth something, and with your cam specs most likely will need to pull timing a fraction but should still gain power regardless.

my heads are l92. Milled .020 on a stock bottom end, with ED Curtis cam and stock notched pistons. Gaskets are ls9. I think .051 thickness.

I went .050 cut for about 10.5:1 (not accounting for the piston notching) on my LQ4/LS3 combo.

Only 1 more track run this year, and then I may upgrade some stuff. Going to a different track, be nice to back up that 1.300 60ft. And maybe get my record ET.
