Single 4500 Tunnel Ram Top
Any idea who makes this? Looks like it will bolt to a Holley Hi-Ram base. I'm intrigued with this.
I run cathedral port AFR's in a jet boat and it likes the breathe deep. I think I'm about at the limit of the 4150/Victor Jr now turning 6,600.

I looked into this about a year ago. Holley sells an upper flange to fab a sheetmetal top (I have one that I would sell for $75), Hogan's sells a billet top but I think they both look like crap with the cast lower. The M&M, Pro-Filer, and Wenzler (only $65) cast tops look close and could probably be adapted. I even created a really nice 3D model and drawing package that I tried to get a pattern and a small run from a foundry but the cost was just too much. In the end I went with a Super Victor.

Not even close, sounds like you are either running out of camshaft, or the valve events (over-advanced cam) are happening too early.

^I tend to agree. a G5X3 should be happy to about 6800ish, but with a stock cube ls1 i just can't see that the intake is the limit. I feel like something else is going on, and spending big bucks on a tunnel ram intake and 4500 series carb just isn't really the answer. I had a victor jr and a 750 on a 370 with some good ported heads and a cam very similar to that one, and i could pull 7000 with no problems. i wonder if a prop in the water loads the engine differently though?
