Damn, those carb manifolds sucked! I was thinking about a dual-quad dual-plane with a pair of EFI TB's. Guess I'll stick with my sucky Vic, JR...

Also worth noting that the LS1 Vic Jr has a small CSA in the runners, compared with the LS3 Vic Jr intake.

Interesting to see the torque made with the Fast 102 which would be my pick for an EFI setup.

Now let's see all that with a cam that's on a 110 or better.

And also would like to see the super victor.

Good read for EFI intake selection, but not for carbs with a cam on a 113 LSA.

A little more on the motor would have been nice also....Sounds like about 10:1-11:1 comp.
A better carb cam (as said above).

Still not too bad...all were in the 550 +/- range (on a quick look-see).

Thanks for the link Tiggs.

Here I sit with the Holley two four dual plane intake and twin 660 center squirters on my Katech LS3. Thought it would be nice for the Nostalgia drags. Not allowed EFI. Maybe a trip to my flow bench to see some #'s.
I was thinking 6,000rpm launch with T56 and 325x60 MT ET Streets in 2,600# car would be fun.
I guess a day on the dyno and a Vic JR to compare will be in the works as well.

So did they also test the square port heads too?
Be nice to see how the truck manifolds work vs the LS3 type.
Also to compare the square port carb manifolds.

In curious on the timing too. It seems the carb setups always run more timing. Also why did they shut down the pull on that symbol performance intake? It never peaked and was looking to keep climbing hard

I'm just wondering if maybe with more tuning the carbs could have surpased some of the fi intakes. I have a Fast 102 and 102NM tbody and saw it made almost 50 hp more then the carb intakes. Didnt seem right to me. Maybe the average tuner like me wouldnt have that last hp squeezed from FI like they did.

Hard to say Andel, I have never seen another test where there was such a disparity between peak power readings. I am a bit skeptical.
