Default Spacer Taper

The art of spacers/extension plates is well known.
The "pictured" item shows none of that art.
The correct ones will have a taper "blend" at the exit area for good pressure recovery.

The bottom of a "carbe" has a perpendicular angle is all cases reducing air flow when installed on a "open" bore.

When you blend the exit side of the spacer, the air flow will increase.
There will also be an increase in fuel atomization.

It will keep screws from falling off the bottom of your carb and into your intake...

Can't wait to see these results, like I posted in another thread... I've been leaning on swapping out my Vic Jr to a super Vic or the new sniper tunnel ram intake. Not too sure about the tunnel ram they just came out with though, lots of people crying about it.

I figured I would get someone to bite on that but I'm actually not making it up. I've read a number of guides that make the same recommendation

If the carburetor is installed on an open-plenum intake manifold, an aluminum four-hole “screw plate” should be installed under the carburetor to prevent loose throttle body screws from accidentally dropping into the engine. A similar 1/4? insulator gasket will also serve this purpose.

I tested spacers on my old 6 liter cathedral/Vic Jr. combo. No gains to be had for me. The 4 hole was the worst in the bunch. But, every car is different.

I bought a cathedral SuperVic just to run a back to back test on my car, but then the stroker rectangle port engine came together and the test never happened. So, I am very interested to watch your test. What does your converter flash to on the launch? How much do your RPMs drop on the shift?

I tried no spacer on my vic jr. ,then tried 4 hole, car slowed. I went back to no spacer to verify, ran same et as previous no spacer run. I put a 2 inch open spacer on, the car will out 60ft, out et and out mph on the same day as the runs with no spacer. I leave my 2 inch open on all the time now.

That's kind of what I have heard, but if my spacer and Jr works this good, Im not sure if its worth the cost to switch.
