Default Third Gen Spoiler question

What years and models (RS, Z8, etc) of the third gen camaros had the RAISED spoiler? I'm only concerned about the square one with two supports in the middle, NOT THE 1" LIP SPOILER. Can anybody help me out with this one? I've only seen a handful of third gens with that spoiler and I really think it "completes" the look of the car. Thanks.

^^^^^ what he said!

I had a '91 Z28 and I think the GFX and the spoiler made the look of it soooo much better compared to the mid to late 80's IROCs

Here's a picture of it w/ my friends former fox.

Sweet. Alright then. Good to know. BTW, is there any downfall of maybe doing an LS1/T56/12 bolt swap into a third gen and revamping the suspension (konis, stranos, Watts link, etc) to make it a road race car? I know the steering isn't a rack and pinion, but is the rest of the suspension similar to 4th gens?

I ask because instead of getting a 4th gen and doing it, I could easily find a 3rd gen, strip it, and rebuild it (over time, of course) and still keep my Prix as a DD. Buying a 4th gen project car would be nice, but it's not really in the finances because of college right now (unless my Prix gets totaled, then it's 4th gen time ).

Thing is, after my co-op this year, i'm gonna have a pretty penny to play with, and while most of it will go back to school and an apartment/food, I'm still gonna have a bit left over. I'd love to start a project car with something with some potential. A 4th gen still costs too much "up front" (like 10 grand). Third gens are gonna be cheaper (and not in such good shape) and would be a great starter project car for me. I just want to make sure that they're similar to 4th gens with the modability for the suspensions.

Actually...There were 2 different raised spoilers. '91-'92 Z28's got the spoiler that everyone knows about. But there was another shorter raised spoiler (1"-2") that was used on the '88-'89 RS/Sport Coupe. They look very similar, but the Z28 spoiler was taller.

Ah, yes. I remember looking at an 88 Sport Coupe back in 99 before buying my IROC that had that smaller spoiler.
