Default Weight Reduction on '98 Z

Guys - Ive got a '98 z28 A4, T-top. I'm looking for any ideas on how to take some weight off without taking away from streetability (A/C, Stereo, Passanger Seat, ect). I took the back seats, belts, and associated brackets out. Thats all so far.... any ideas?? I know i'll have to decide just where I want to draw the line and what "streatable" means to me... just looking for some things you guys have done. Thanks!!

Take out the Jack and spare tire, switch to a fiberglass hood. Smaller rims and tires also help. Dump the exhaust manifolds and stock cat back.

Honestly unless you're turning it into a drag car I wouldn't worry about weight reduction. Alot of the stuff you'd wanna remove for weight savings will make it less comfortable or tolerable to drive on a daily basis.

If you wanna lose some weight you can take off all A/C components. Thats what windows and T-Tops are for.

You guys are the new cancer haha

Front impact bar and foam will be good for 25lbs about.

Door impact bars are another 7lbs each about

Cut the inner fenders out not sure

Did all that to my DD 93, honestly it is a tad faster now. Can pull on my friends 07' GT instead of staying with him.

I just took out the rear seat and seat belts. I wouldn't put anyone back there anyways. I replaced the jack and spare tire with a can of fix-a-flat and removed the air pump and hoses. Good enough for me

My stock carpet was 37lbs. I'll be taking my time laying down some Ozite that'll weigh less than 10. Done right, it can look good. Theres about 5lbs of deadener in the hatch that'll scrape out. Two racing buckets combined weight about as much as a manual passenger seat. Lightweight batteries are another option. Ditching my stock catback for a turn down saved me about 35lbs.

Carpet swap: 28lbs
Hatch Deadener: 5lbs
Racing Buckets: 30lbs
Tire/Jack: 30lbs (I forget)
Battery: 20lbs
Catback: 35lbs

That's 148lbs alone, give or take. It's been a minute since I weighed the exhaust and spare, but that should be pretty close.
