Default Who still loves their 4th Gen Camaro?

With all the buzz about the 5th Gen coming out and all the harsh comments about the reliability/appearance of the 4th gen it seems like the interest in our cars is dwindling. I know to each their own/beauty is in the eye of the beholder/ and who cares what others think about your car but who on here still relishes in the beauty of their 4th Gen Camaros? I feel like the introduction of more and more powerful vehicles is degrading the overall genuine muscle car feel of our vehicles. Please someone chime in and remind me that my vehicle is still a sweet muscle car lol.

i like the 4th gen styling over the 5th gen. our cars look really sleek, pointed and have the 'fast' look. 5th gens looks bulky and heavy IMO. 5th gens are going with too many luxury and comfort features

I sold my other cars so I could drive mine everyday..... rain, snow, whatever....
It sat in the garage for years.

Now that GMMG has an LS7 version, I might look into that, otherwise I won't be getting a 5th gen. I love my 4th....

Good to hear! Yes I agree, the new Camaro is similar to the CTS in that its an old man luxury car. jk about the old man part. I like my cars pretty much bare with very little options. I'm thinking about gutting A/C, P/S, and as much stuff I dont really need. I really like the muscle car feel. I don't think you'll get to experience that from a 2009 Car. I once sat in a '69 Camaro and when I shut the door it sounded like a tin can!! Real steal and 100% American, it's a really sweet feeling.

well said. IMO i like the long, low and sleek look with bare necessities. i did away with all my comfort features like a/c, power steering etc. no need for all that with a 'go fast' car

I am keeping my '00 SS Convertible. I like the shape better anyway and for half a fraction of what a new one would cost me I can get all the suspension and drivetrain mods I want.

And yes, I do like the shape of the 4th gens better than the 5th gens.

Although I dont own one yet, I prefer the 4th generation. As with almost every new car, the new Camaro seems to be moving further away from its roots. I agree that it does look too bulky and big. The 4th generation F-body IMO is one of the most beatiful cars ever made. Let people say whatever they want.

Thumbs up 4th GEN!!

I agree that the styling on the 5th generation is way off.
I like the styling of the 4th gen WAY better. Interior and exterior.
The new Camaro looks like a shoe box with wheels on it. Just my opinion though.

My '99 Z28 is the first car I've ever financed on my own and paid off. I still plan to get a new Camaro Z28 (if they don't come, a Z06 Vette), but I won't be offloading my '99 to get one.

I love mine, when I changed the shifter I left the console out just to make sure everything was alright. With the console out you could here the gear wine in the transmission and it sounded just like the old rock chrusher 4-speeds used to sound so I ended up leaving the console out and putting a Mister Gasket Super Boot over the hole. My car is loud, rough riding, the rear-end clunks sometimes going around turns...AND I LOVE IT!! just the way a hot-rod is supposed to be.

The new Camaros kinda look like a mustang with that c-scoop on the side IMA.

I still like mine. Wish I drove it more than I did. Wasn't impressed enough with the 5th Gen to want one, bought a G8GT instead. Also never see any other 4th gens around my area too.
