Default Swaping LS1 to LS2

I have a 2002 Z-28 Camaro, and the engine is almost about to go. I am looking at LS2 engines to put in it. How hard is it? and what do I need to buy to make the LS2 work?

It bolts right up. I've done it once. The Only thing I rember being different was the cam position sensor. It needed to be extended and two wires changed. I know sponsors sell kits with all the covers and the sensor extention.

Katech sells the extension harnesses you will need. I have done it once and am getting ready to do it again. If you run the ls2 intake you will need the map sensor extension harness. The other extension harness you will need is the camshaft position sensor, and knock sensor harness. Be sure to check the reluctor wheel too. Our cars run on 24 tooth(24t) reluctor wheels. Early ls2 had the 24t and the later ones had a 58t reluctor wheel. There is a conversion box available now for the 58t if you find a good enough deal. Also the knowck sensors will need to be relocated to the side of the block. I cant think of anything else off hand. If you have any other questions just let me know.
