Default *PICS* My old 1990 Iroc-Z

Here are some pics of my old Iroc-Z. I forgot I made a Car Domain page and put these on there. I wish I would have never got rid of it

Little info on the car
1990 Iroc-Z
1 of 2415
L98-5.7 TPI
G92 car with A/C
Car was converted to a TH350 before I bought it
I put some Weld Draglites on it 15x7 on the front and 15x8 on the rear
Hedman shorty headers, Flowmaster exhaust with cutout, airfoil, MSD wires and coil, Quarter Stick shifter. I had it painted in March 2004 right before I joined the Air Force. It was Bright Amber Pearl Metallic, a Ford color that was on the trucks. Removed the spoiler, stripes and put regular camaro emblems on it, I was going for the sleeper look. I had the stock dual stripe Iroc wheels painted black too

1. the day I picked it up
2. after the stripes were taken off and the Draglites went on
3,4,5. The car getting painted
6. Taken a week before I left for basic training
7. The day I traded it in on a new '04 4x4 V8 Dakota. Put the stock wheels back on
8,9,10. Having a little fun before I took it to the dealership

Yup

I had the car with me in Gboro when I first got there in 04 and was wanting something new and reliable. I went back home to the dealership and made a deal. Got the truck out the door for less than $20K and it only had 6 miles on it(which was by me on the test drive). I see the car every now and then when I am back home and i WILL get this car back one day

I sold my 1992 camaro to get a truck 6 years ago. I miss that car, it was that bright blue, kind of like what they use on the corvette, it only had 107,xxx miles on it, V8, 5sp, T-tops... I have seen it 2 times since i sold it.

I used to HATE the look of third gen Camaros but over the last couple years they have really grown on me. I would love to find a clean 350 Iroc or GTA to cruise in every now and then.

The clear was peeling on them so I decided to have them blasted and tried to polish them which didn't work too well(I was 17 and didn't what I was doing). So when I had the car painted, I had him shoot the wheels too.

I got mine for a $1000 as a rolling shell with the motor & trans with it. The motor had to be rebuilt & I had to buy a whole new harness. But this car is almost flawless. Have the orig window sticker & everything with it. I love IROCS. Mine is a 5.7 TPI also. Its down at Pavalock Performance & hope to be driving it by July.

When I got it I only paid $2300. The guy had just paid like a grand to have the interior redone two weeks before I bought it.
