Default Antenna Question

This might be a dumb question, but did LS1 camaros have hidden antenna's like the trans ams, normal ones, or was a hidden one an option?

No full sized ones were the only option

No that was not an option but the antenna from a TA will fit. I have had one for years. I like it because I listen to the CD more than the radio and I wired a switch that lets me keep the antenna down when I listen to the CD.

No, it was not an option. The BitViper antenna (search on here) looks great on the camaro's though. Also a Z06 antenna will fit.

I just took a cutting wheel to mine and smoothed it out. Looks fine for $FREE.00

Did you buy your car new or used? Parts book does not show a hidden antenna for a Camaro. That is why I bought one from a TA.

Hidden Antenna should go up & down with the radio turned on and off. A button sounds like an aftermerket part.

I wired mine to go off with the radio but install a switch so I could put the antenna down when I was listening to the CD.
