$500-$600 for a OEM GM SS hood and you can try your local Salvage yard,E-Bay or our sales section.

Look in the for sale section of the board. They are there quite often. Ave price for an OEM is $400-$700.

What are the options for getting an SS replica hood for the lighter weight? VFN (very close to me) didn't seem like a good choice since the cowls are taller than stock.

I personally don't like them. I have seen a few. The inlet scoop does not have the screen. They have one that goes in, but does not look right. It bolts on the outside. They also seem to crack in the middle. Not made as solid. Just what I have seen.

I dunno if OEM have issues but I have an Ultra Z hood (SLP) and all the clear coat is coming off from the header heat.
