Nope, not subjectively when you really compare steering feel and driving dynamics. Porsche has one of if not the best steering out there for under $100k sports cars. But when you look at the numbers, they are very similar.

I don't think the purpose is to convince anyone that a Camaro can outhandle a 911, but rather that the difference in an objective comparison is much less than one would think.

I'll pit mine against a Porsche, or just about anything else.

Yeah, you get some interesting things out at an autocross. I'd say I'm a mid pack hack at best (driver skill wise), but I'm definitely not being held up by the machinery.

People that bitch about them being poor handling cars need to go learn how to drive.

I would say factory camaros cant handle too well, but ones with aftermarket suspension setups can handle pretty good. Back when my car had hotchkis springs and sways me and my friend(e46 m3) took are cars through the mountain. He told me he was having to work to keep up with me, so they can handle with the right ingredients. Now that I have the factory slp/bilstein setup it doesnt handle as good. Im changing it asap.

Pretty good article IMO. However, its hard to determine real performance just thru magazine tests. Cars can have performance differences just due to track conditions, driver input, car factors and even the weather.

Its nice to see, however, that there were some people in the performance world that recognized the performance-dollar value that our 4th gens represented.

I think my car handles pretty well. I mean, its no porsche or Ferrari, but its not bad.

What kills me is the ricers that think their cars can out handle newer muscle cars. Why would a front wheel drive economy car made for hauling kids handle better than a rear wheel drive sports car with wider tires?
