Don't you still need the key as well when you use one of these? If so, it's the dumbest **** you can do. No offense meant, just pointing out the obvious.

It's just something different. Yeah you still need the key, but for about 50 bucks, it's a pretty cool/unique mod for an LS1 car.

i bought the S2000 start button kit off ebay. Came with the wire harness, new button, and instal instructions for like 65 bucks shipped or something like that. I removed my cig lighter and ground the hole a little bigger to fit the button. i dont have any pics of it, but it was pretty easy to do.

yes i still need the key, its more for a bling factor, and being a little different. you also get great reactions when someone rides in your car for the first time and you reach down to start the car.

I personally like the idea for the MOST part. Only thing I don't like about it, is the fact that the new switch says START on it. I would rather it be all black and use it as a theft deterrent switch. IMO!
Just have it there so if someone was to somehow get your keys and try to take your car, It still wouldn't start.

But to each there own. I like it!

I think this is the coolest thing. It impresses almost anyone riding in your car unless they own a ford Gt. alot of our mods could be considered pointless but who cares it is all for the love of doing something different.
