what would you pay for my car?
i was just wondering what you guys think my car is worth. i always had the notion that it was worth around $13K but figure with the economy being the way it is that's probably not the case. i bought the car with 58,XXX miles from a local cadillac dealer. the former owner was an older lady. always garage kept, never driven in wet conditions. the car runs amazing, only problem i have had with it was the cam sensor went bad on me last year. the local dealer did the install and everything is perfect now. there is one small dent on the right rear quarter panel that was there when i bought the car, you have to look for it to see it. other than that the car is awesome, i get compliments on the car everytime i get gas in the car.
car is 1999 Camaro Z28
63,XXX easy miles (no track or road racing)
SS hood with black manta stipe & SS spoiler
bright rally red
leather
t-tops
loudmouth 2 cat-back
torq thrust m's 17X9
fast toys ram air
lid
ported throttle body
other misc. stuff appearance wise

There are no pictures of the car you are trying to sell...so I guess you are trying to leave it up to our imagination to piece together what your car may look like given your description lol. but with strictly the information you have provided us I would like to say your car is worth somewhere in between $10,500-11,500

I would say with the economy the way it is today its probably only worth around $9000 everything is lower than what they should be. I have seen cars with less than 50,000 miles go for $10,000 or less.

yeah i tried accounting his mods into consideration. I bought my car for like 10k w/ 51k miles but it was perfect interior and paint, excluding some paint chips off headlight lids, and came with exhaust and air lid.

Well, for an honest starting point, I always use the Kelly Blue Book. I have found that for the most part, it is very high in market prices by at least 10-20%, but that is here in southern California. Usually the mods that we do to the cars do not add too much to the overall value. It would be better to take items off that CAN be removed granted that you still have the original parts to replace what is removed. Us poor dumb old guys (I am probably the only dumb one here...lol) usually mod the car for ourselfs.....and it is fun, fast and way cool, but we then take a beating when its time to sell......OUCH!!!! Did you buy the car with the SS hood, rear spoiler and Loudmouth exhaust????? If you did, that must have been some old lady......lol...

I can post pics if need be but I just bought my 2002 z28 with 67,500 A4 SS carbon fiber style hood and air box, long tube headers ORY pipe 3 inch exhaust HP Design 18" rims and some other things done to it. I paid 8,400 out the door from a car lot in Orlando. Leather and super clean. I think the market is crap for sellers but great for buyers if you have the cash.
