Default LT1 v LS1 Foglights Same?

I have 97 TA looking for round foglights. I called the dealer who claimed that the round foglights for 93-97 trans ams are not the same as 98-02 round foglights. Do any of you know if this is true? I cant find 93-97 foglights. Will the 98-02s fit?

You may want to ask to have this moved to the Firebird section.

The 93-97 foglights are a little smaller in diameter and the bracket is about twice as long as the LS1 foglights. I was told they were the same so I bought some LT1 fogs and they look like **** in my 99.

I have heard the LT1 fogs are glass, while the LS1 fogs are plastic too.

That was actually the main reason I bought LT1 fogs since I didnt want my HIDs to melt the foglights, but the ones I got definitely feel like plastic. Maybe that was just on certain years or was just a rumor.
