we loaded up the kids and the dog and took a mini-vacation this weekend, so didn't get much time to work on the car.
i did however get some nut plates made to install the motor mounts, installed the motor mounts, and got the k-member boxed back in.
turns out, i still can't weld upside down over my head.....
i recommend making the nut plates for anyone doing this swap, it was fast, and made re-installing the mounts easy. this will probably work better for the guys who are also notching the k-member, as the plate can just slide up into place. just put the impact to it and go to town.

1nasty86....haha, you'll have to keep the hammer out i guess, i pulled the trigger on the F13 from FMS. mine is a special order from the guys, they are making it fit my application a little better.
with the government in a holding pattern today, the heat sink coils and brackets are stuck at the post office......
next project to tackle is the fuel pump....

some more goodies in the mail...valve covers came with the heat sink coils. valve covers will be for sale when i get my others cleaned up and painted...going to use these to cover the heads up in the meantime. i'm going to try and get some stuff painted up this weekend; the valve covers, coils/brackets, intake, fuel rails. then hopefully get the axle and tank dropped....can't remember, but, i think the tank is full of fuel

no sir....that's how they were painted when i bought them....i grew up a Husker fan, the wife likes the Jayhawks. our house is a little calmer now that we are in different conferences.
sunset orange metallic is a great color, just doesn't fit with the red and white on my z.

nasty...i've been trying to decide whether or not to do a "homemade" setup or buy it off the shelf.....but, I will definitely look into it!
didn't get as much done this weekend as i wanted....ended up working on racecars all day sunday. we've got new sbf strokers in 2 of the cars. one isn't running quite right, and, of course, its the one in my wifes car....
we did get the intake, valve covers, and coil packs painted. i made a template for the clutch master cylinder, and did some prep work underneath the car to drop all the tail end out of it.

and the other from Racetronix - new GSS340 pump kit with hotwire setup...also has the 15hp sticker mod(seen on top of everything in the box)

i guess this means i need to get my tail in gear for real.....
can't wait to get this thing runnin'...i've lost some momentum on this project, but i intend to get a lot done this weekend!
finally came across a good deal on an fbody f.e.a.d. setup with a powerbond 25% underdrive pulley. which is a load off, i was afraid i'd have a complete engine installed and ready to fire, but no accessories to back it up....

well, we got quite a bit done this weekend. the wife helped me out on saturday. we got the pedals and tick MC installed. i hope i never have to change that MC, i may just sell the car.....
i also installed my ls1 throttle cable, with the bluezee washer mod...thanks nick!
she got the battery tray and k-member painted while i was drilling holes in the wrong place.
sunday i got the axle and tank dropped. put the new fuel pump in and started working on the engine. i got it disassembled and installed the cam, oil pump, timing chain, and new pan. worried about the oil pump bolt....i torqued it to spec, but i think it was too much.
