Default Clutch sensor

Dumb question, but what is the actual name for the switch that allows you to start your car when the clutch is all the way in? Is it the Neutral safety switch, a clutch position sensor or what? I've been looking all morning and can't find a description for what each one does...

It took me 10 minutes to start the car this morning.
