Default what's making this noise on my new 2000 z28?

Well when I first start the car, I get this elec. fan like whizzing noise. then after a few minutes it shuts down. I located whats doing it. It's in the front driverside, like where the battery would be if it was on this side.
It's right below a plastic panel down alittle lower. It looks kinda like a blower fan motor. and I reach down and put my hand on it I can feel it running.
It's kinda noisy, Just wondering what it is and if it would be alright to uplug it?

Yeah its safe to delete it as long as you dont worry about emissions. Its most likely gonna throw a SES code, but you can have a tuner delete it if it bothers you.
