Its very easy to install, you can remove the upper console if you want, but i got away with just removing the boot. Remove the shift **** first, remove the boot, then remove the (2) 13mm bolts holding on the original stick. Bolt the new hurst short stick and replace what else you took apart and boom, you'll wonder why you didn't change it sooner lol.

There's a couple of plastic tabs around the perimeter, just kind of push down and in a little, it should come free fairly easily.

I'd suggest just pulling the console out. You may be surprised at all the funk you find hidden in there...

One 10mm bolt on each side under the center stack, 10mm under the ash tray, and I believe three 10mm in the console itself. The rubber surround covering the shifter is 7mm.

For just a short stick, just pull the boot out. I did that and had no problem.
