After doing the 145 amp alternator swap, Dude Across the Street complained that his dash lights were flickering and the volts were barely over 13.

Checked the wire connections at the battery, the strut tower, the power block, the back of the alternator, and the 4-pin pigtail. All solid. Then I noticed the power steering return line was really close to the alternator case. I took a screwdriver and bent the line down and back to give more clearance, and all appears to be good now. No flickering and volts are over 14.

I was able to drive my 2001 Camaro today for first time in three weeks. Had LS 6 replaced with LS 3. Crate motor from GM and was able to use my Pro-Charger, meth kit, intercooler, Kooks headers, and switched out the OEM cam for a more aggressive one. She made 622 rwhp with 5.5 lbs. of boost with the meth disconnected. So far only have 48 miles on the new engine. With the LS 6 engine I was making 604 rwhp with 11 pounds of boost.

took my girl for the first ride in my new f-body and got a little stupid and afterwards car wouldn't go into 1-3-5-r and was internally freaking out that i was about to replace another t-56.....

i also had just put in a new hurst billet plus shifter and turns out the stop bolt on the front had loosened up and wouldn't allow the shifter to go far enough to engage the gear....

of course it had to screw up with the girl in the car though

Took advantage of the UMI Black Friday sales:
-Competition panhard bar lowering/leveling Kit
-Hollow sway bars
-Strut tower brace
-2 point subframe connectors

Had some questions along the way... Craig at UMI was 1st class. Genuine quality customer service.

Put a tach and some gauges in so I can actually see what's going on. I have no idea how people back in the day lived without knowing ANY information about what was happening with their car, haha!

And yes, the tach is held on with zip ties, lol. I'm going to eventually swap in a factory tach and don't want to put holes in my column.

I had always had horrible optima experiences, but the one that my Camaro uses now was in it when I bought the car and definitely wasn't new then. Still chugging a few year later for me.

Optima batteries were great, but turned to junk somewhere around 2007, I think. Dates are not my strength.

Polished and coated the wheels of my 2002 Camaro SS.

The Rupes nano came in handy polishing out the spokes of these wheels.

Outside and inside of the wheels were polished and coated with GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour

Because I am crazy like that I polished out the chrome lug nuts and coated them as well. These are just the rear. Did the fronts the day before.

Products used.

I've been working on installing my new grill in my 67 and wanted to try to clean up my original parking light bezels instead of replacing them. I didn't get a pic of the other side (which was WAAAAY worse), but here is how they looked before:

After some cleaning and elbow grease:

Installed in the new grill:

Now to just finish getting the rivets out from the old grill and I can get this one bolted in!

vacuumed up about a pound of dog hair the PO left in the car and wiped the interior down, it was pretty gross in there. It's by no means immaculate but much better than it was.

Do it like we did in 1971, use a big hose clamp.

Default MGW shifter

Picked up MGW shifter in November . Last week got around to installing the shifter. It is amazing! Short, which takes some getting used to. Shifts don't take a full second anymore. I had the factory shifter before. I can't compare to other brands, but this one is second to none. At $209, you can't go wrong. It is also made in USA.
Good work MGW team!
