Default Are all OEM catalytic converters the same

I live in the socialist state of California, and was wondering if all cats are the same. Oem cats from a California car to for instance a Florida car?

A Catalytic Converter will be approximately the same from one car to the next. One must remember that there are two sides to the things: It needs to have enough area to be useful (A Catalyst is simply a spot for two molecules to bind temporarily, while binding more strongly with each other), which necessitates close wire spacing. On the other hand, the engineers know that back pressure kills. The attempt will always be a "best of Both Worlds", and usually just one for marketing purposes. Probably the best option would be a high-flow catalytic aftermarket.
