I have a 2001 Camaro ss and I have run into the most aggravating problem. When I got home from work the key was stuck in the run position and it won't budge. It did it a little bit when I drove to lunch but I jimmied it and it popped right out and I didn't think anything of it. I had to stall the car and disconnect the battery to shut the car off. I have tried everything I can think of and was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions I really don't want to have to reace the ignition lock cylinder.

Do you have an automatic or manual transmission? Does the key look worn/look like metal is coming out with it? If you spray the cylinder out with some electrical cleaner (AKA, an aerosol that doesn't leave a residue), then grab and play with the gear selector, while twisting on the wheel, does it help any?
