I was trying to check the clutch fluid on my 1999 z28 however I can't seem to get the clutch reservoir cap off, it seems to be stuck. I tried using some channel locks to get it off but I'm afraid if I pull to hard it will break since it's made out of plastic. Is this a common problem? Any ideas on how to get it off and avoid this problem in the future.

If I pull the reservoir cap any harder I'm most likely going to break the reservoir or the retainer holding it.
