Default Cam advise

Hey guys! I've been wondering around ls1tech for a while and finally jumped the gun to make an account to get some advise from y'all. I have a 89 iroc-z with a lq9 6.0, prc 5.3 stage 2.5 heads, 1-3/4 headers, 3600 yank ss converter, with 3.42 gears. My compression ratio is at 11.1, and I was wondering what will be a good cam for my set up. I'm currently running 11.8 @ 114, I'm not really shooting for hp number since I'm more worried about hitting low 11s, high 10s. If possible mid 10s haha. So which cam do you guys recommend for my setup? Im all up for any advise you guys have. Thanks

Well i'm running a LQ9 6.0 along with PRC 5.3 heads, and run a cam similar to a Magic Stick MS3, and it workes great for me! Although i'm a 6-speed with 4.10's

Is it more of a track car or do you drive it on the street a bit? Sounds like a killer set up aready an with a 3600 stall an 11.1 compression u can run a high 230-240 range 600+ max lift for more track use. But for street use i would go with the lower 230's but from my experience with lsx engines an cams its all in a good tune.. an what intake are u running?

Wish I had a 6speed as well, but I was actually looking at that cam
But I'm still undecided about it.

It's pretty much a weekend car I take out to mess around in haha, but I'm currently running the ls6 intake on it. I'll be installing a 25% underdrive pulley sometimes this weeks or soon, that's why im trying to see which cam would be a best fit for my set up.

Ok just asking if it was a FAST or what not but i have read that the ls6 intake is only good for max cfm around 610 lift cams so anything over that might just b over bord.. but any cam will do wonders for ur set up but i would opp for like a 234/238 6xx-6xx 112 lsa but here is a old forum with some good info an hp # for lq9 builds an cams. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...lycutting.html
