Default Is there 4k worth of parts on a 2002 z28

Thinking of parting out a 2002 z28. Car is all stock, 102k, automatic. Has salvage title and damage to driver door, all other parts are there and in good shape.

Is there $4,000 or more worth of parts here if I piece it out? Or should I fix the damage and try to sell the car like normal?

thanks for the advice

possbily. a long block and the trans can get you halfway to 4k. its just a matter of doing all the work and ppl actually needing the misc parts. research what the misc parts go for and find ppl that need them.

headlights.tail lights, wheels, brake system, hood, doors, rear end, gauge cluster, would be easier to sell.

if the seats are in fair condition those would be a good couple hundred.

is the dash pad cracked? people are often looking for those.

i'd say you would be in good shape. depends it you want to do the work of pulling it all apart and finding buyers. sucks the dash pads usually break when you pull them, so that is risky.

id say if ur in no hurry start listing it as parts, but if u want quicker cash change the door and unload it. depends where u are, around selling parts for a 4th gen wud be like selling ketchup popsicle to people wearing white gloves.

Someone will pay 3500-4000 for that car.. In Metro detroit they go for 5-6k with that mileage. Sadly

Scrap it out. In the future when you get tired of it and try to sell it a salvage title car is impossible to sell and if it does sell it has to be to somebody who wants that exact car and mods. Its haaaard to find that one person come sale time.

I'd list it for sale as-is for 4000-4500 and save the trouble of parting it out. I wouldn't put any real money into fixing just to sell given the title.

If you have the means to part it out....it's prefect donor car for the drivetrain. Someone can see n hear it run before pulling.

I looked at it in person. Not in that great of shape. Runs ok, been wrecked 3 times though. I was looking at it to make money, and there isn't much room for profit. Think I'm going to pass on it for now. If I had a project for it right now it'd be perfect, but just bought a 2000 ws6 to DD. It's already an ls and m6
