Default 83 c10 12 bolt rear end for my 1968 camaro?

Hello to everyone. I have a 1968 camaro with a stock 10 bolt. My buddy has a 12 bolt lying around from a 1983 c10 2wd he said I can have. What's its gonna take to get this 12 bolt to fit? I don't know the 12 bolt length yet or really where to measure. But just seeing if anyone has done something like this. I plan to do a 4 link rear. Just wondering if this is worth my time and how much money shops charge to shorten tubes anyways if that's what needs to be done. As well as what I'm gonna need to do for driveshaft? Prices of people who have done this or a job like this would help my decision, or if I should just go a different route ? 4 link will run me 1500-2k. But I'm not familiar with shop prices. Thanks in advance.

If i remember correctly the truck 12bolt is not desireable like the car 12 bolt rears are. Im sure a quick google search will explain it alot better, i believe it was a strength thing.
