Turbo Tuesday: Watch the World’s Fastest 6-Speed LS1 Camaro This video is hot off the presses, showing a 4th generation Chevrolet Camaro roaring down the quarter mile in just 8.63 seconds at 158 miles per hour and based on the fact that this car packs a 6-speed manual transmission – this is the fastest 6-speed Camaro in the world.
To hit those incredible numbers, the owner has fitted the LS1 engine with a monster turbo setup that allows this Camaro to force over 1,100 horsepower into the manual transmission and from there, it is up to the driver to get this beast down the track as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
