Maybe in east coast
Maybe it's the fastest in east coast cause I know it's not fastest period, my car and I know of another car with stock ls1s like that one been faster .ive been 9.20s with stock motor like his and in 8s with forged bottom end in 3500lbs car with driver. So I don't know about east coast but we in the Midwest been faster .

Apparently stock is a very loose term. Stock, except for the cam, springs, power adder, larger throttle body, intake, headers, exhaust, full drag suspension, chassis stiffening, giant slicks and skinnies..... I guess the headlights are still stock.
Sounds like the same guys that show up at my local track with their "street cars" gutted, tubbed, slicked, lexan windows, fiberglass front with paint on headlights, parachute, cant see past the cowl one working tail light, (required to run at night), no wipers, have to fill the radiator every run, 5 gallon fuel cell... Yeah street car

A couple of points ... once the camshaft is changed, the motor is no longer "stock" ... "stock" cars do not come from the factory with 200 NOS ... it's VERY unlikely that a car with such a radical cam (just listen to it) and 200 NOS is running "stock" heads ... anyone running 200 NOS with a "stock" bottom end needs to have their head examined.
Yeah, it's "stock" all right. Didn't you just see those pigs flying overhead???

Why do people feel the need to lie about their mods? Having awesome mods done that create more power is something fun and interesting to share about your vehicle. This just insults everyones intelligence to an extreme amount, so extreme that it almost doesn't , because he sure as hell knows no one believes him..and if he does, he's just a juicehead, just as is camaro is.

a more technical response
So stock hp is 325 (assume its an SS, if not than 305) at crank, cam with stock heads maybe 60 or 70 hp and 200 shot is 625 at crank. If the stock bottom end could take that abuse, maybe a 10.4/10.5 run.......
Next they will say it was on 87 pump gas......

stock short block means the internals of the short block never touched .. thats what the " stock short block " pistons, rods, crank , bolts, etc all original never touched . on the other hand, cam is not part of the short block term . its considered as a valve train upgrade . that what is all about . i hope this is clear .
also here is the thread of the official list of the categories we have in this forum what is everybody is following and know about . i hope this is clear for the new guys!!
