I been mid-high 11's on a 8.2" 10 bolt and another guy was top 10's before he broke an axle shaft (same size as a 8.5" BTW). Both were running Eaton Posi units, aftermarket gears, with everything else stock GM.
They will live.... but as with any rear, abuse it and it will let go at some point.
Slicks and a stick....that time could come real fast

I had that cam in my old school SBC 406ci. It went 11.8's in good air. I will guess you "could" see low-mid 12's IF it hooks, and you can drive

Thanks Doug G......I appreciate the response......yea I was told anywhere from high elevens to mid 12's......the car hooks pretty damn good jus from a launch on the cold street on street radials....the clutch/flywheel combo works great......but yea im sure a few hard launches off slicks on a sticky track might be asking for trouble....i may jus wait till I get a replacement before running full slicks...how'd you like that cam in your old SBC?
