Default Building an lt1

I was wondering can I buy an lt1 rebuild kit an just buy a 383 stoker crankshaft in stead of buying an stoker kit
Which cost 1500-2000 while the 350 rebuild kit cost 500

no they wouldn't because your block will be bored to a 383 and your pistons will still be for a 350

Those cheap 383 kits are junk. There cast cranks and are known to break easy. Id just do simple rebuild with cam swap. Mill heads and run .026 had gaskets to get compression up. Make sure you have all your basic boltons also.
