Default Remove 02 Camaro Radiator Shroud?

Has anyone removed the front radiator shroud that sits in the bumper in front of the condenser? Any negative results in doing so? Thinking about installing the chr1313 lower intake and shroud would have to be removed/altered.

I did way back in the day when I ran the SLP cold air duct. Never had any problems. Just make sure to leave the plastic air dam under the radiator support so it can still feed air up to the rad.

I've heard both opinions....I'm talking about the plastic piece that the condensor kind of sits in. Looks like it guides air up to the air lid assembly. Questions I have is when you install a lower intake do you have to modify that piece or just remove it? Thanks guys
