Default Project : F01

So, finally back in an Fbody after some time.

Car I picked up is a 2001 Z28 with 146,000 Kilometers. Motor and trans were taken for a guys older Camaro build (wanted a low km driveline) and gave my buddy the roller. I bought the roller from him (owns a shop) and we are putting her back together.

Found a take out LS1/t56, doing a cam and all new valve train parts/gaskets etc on the LS, with longtubes and a tune. Just looking for a nice choppy idle and a fun street/strip car.

Currently working on getting the LS apart to send heads out to machine shop for cleaning and checking.

Here are photos when I bought the car :

Picked up some black projectors, black markers and RKsport CF grill from a buddy that recently sold his SS.

I'll keep this thread for updates on the ol' girl.

Donor driveline is out after a few hours of wrenching last night. Now to tear her down and get the cam/valvetrain done, and then stab it into my Camaro.

Nice work, what paint did you use on your headers?

Very interested to see what painted valve covers will look like once the car is assembled.

Default Project : Chophouse

Went by to see the old girl tonight. All gaskets came in, heads are out at machine shop and cam/valve train is there. Should be in a running this weekend and hopefully on road early next week.

Also cleaned the intake, eventually it'll get LS6 or a FAST.
