Default Window Problem

Hey everyone, on my 99 Z28 my driver side window stops just before it reaches the top. I know it's not the BCM, and I have a put a new window motor in back in November or December. A family friend made it sound like there should be a way to adjust the window somehow, could that be the problem? If so, what would I have to do and what should I look for. If not, does any one have any other ideas?

Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Not any form of adjustment that I know of. Is the window hanging up on a misshapen window/door gasket or something?

I'm not sure, how would I check? I never taken a door panel off before, an I was told that I need to be careful doing it. Is there anything I need to know about taking it off so I don't crack it or anything?

They do have adjustable window stops in the door. One is built in to the rear vertical track and the one in the front is like a plastic lip. I would pull the panel and inspect everything.

Default Window Problem

Sorry, just saw this today. Took the car over the the family friend's today and took off the door panel. The window stop was already in it's proper spot, but the problem was that a couple of the rivets were in the wrong spots and loose, therefore not holding the front of the window up. For a temporary fix he just inserted a screw under one of the rivets to hold it in place. Hopefully I can get that properly taken care of soon.
