Talking ***BLS 98-02 CAMARO Bi-Xenon Projector Headlight Kit SUMMER 2015 GP***

Tired of your Camaro outrunning your factory headlights? Prefer to see more than 40 feet down the road when making those epic highway pulls? We have what you need! This Group Purchase will be available through July 12th!

If you don't want to tackle a retrofit by yourself, we have you covered. Have any questions regarding HIDs in general and want info? We can help. Customers have the choice to purchase just the housings or add options to their purchase for a complete kit.

Similar to previous GP's, we are offering these again with your choice of TYC chrome or DEPO whistler style housings. The TYC all chrome housings are high quality replacements for your tired/faded headlights. The DEPO whistler, black bezel housings are more cost effective and offer a bit more sinister look versus the all chrome units. With either selection, you will receive brand new headlights retrofitted with high quality bi-xenon projectors.

Below are comparison shots between the various headlight options we offer.

The car I bought has awful aftermarket lights, so I'm very interested. Do you have pics of the red car with the hood closed? Also, how much with Morimoto 50W kit, so they match my Silverado kit?

What's the difference between the MH1 5.0 Bi-Xenon Projectors and Morimoto 35W HID kit?

I unfortunately do not have pics of the red car with the hood closed but I can try and track those down with the customer. Is there a specific angle you are looking for?

Regarding the 50W kit request, we do not sell these headlights with a 50W kit as this is too much wattage/heat for the MH1 projectors to handle. The reflector bowls within the projector will get burnt and output will be diminished greatly.

The MH1 5.0 refers to the projectors we install in the headlight housings. The Morimoto HID kit is the lamps, ballasts and wiring harness that you may purchase with the headlights. You may purchase just the retrofitted housings and source your own kit or purchase through us for a complete package.

Why the V 5.0? Those are several years old now. They are up to 6.0 and per Matt @ TRS the 7.0s are due out later this year...

There are a few reasons why we use the 5.0. The first is that they have proven to be a reliable/proven performer. This is not to say the 6.0 isn't proven but this leads to the next reason. The threaded shaft on the 6.0 is significantly shorter than the 5.0 which requires the lamp provision in the housing to be shaved down. This isn't difficult to do but it needs to be thinned out to a point where we question the integrity of the housing. We have heard of a few instances where the lamp holder on the 6.0 can be finicky with the lamps used as well. The 6.0 does out perform the 5.0 but the install trade offs don't make much sense for what we do.

As for the 7.0, we would not use these until they show they perform and have no quality issues. I believe they are addressing the threaded shaft length as well which would be nice. With any projector retrofit, we want to be sure the setup lasts so installing a new projector isn't ideal until we see the results. I'm sure these will be great but we also don't want to have many unhappy customers because we jumped the gun.

I hope that answers your question.

It kinda does but in reality the reason why the shaft was shortened was to allow the bulb to be further seated in the projector allowing more light output (rather than have a portion of the bulb inside the shaft).

I ended up building my own set because I couldn't wait for the group purchase again and while the grinding of the stock bulb area is needed to get enough thread engagement for the V6.0 there really isn't any loss of integrity for the housing, its still thicker there than any other part of the lamp assembly.
