Default radio doesn't work after replacing bad alternator

I recently replaced the alternator with an oem 102 amp on my 1998 z28. all gauges, lights and windows work except my radio. I can set the time and the CD eject button works but everything else doesn't respond. checked all fuses and they're fine. need help.

In your owners manual there is a code for your radio. Gm did this to deter radio thefts back in the day. For example my radio display screen says LOC or something like that after a battery swap, so i get the code written in my owners manual and enter it like you would do to change the time on your clock. Mine was like 1921 or something so you enter 19 in the hours and 21 in the minutes. Good luck
