Steering Column Compatible??

Steering Column Compatible?? Hello gents, I've got a 2002 Camaro SS with wasted tilt pins and housing in the steering column.
I've scoured the junk yards and every car I find has the same condition.
I magically found a guy that has a 1997 steering column in excellent shape but will it work with my 2002 Camaro?
At worst I may have to switch over all the electronics inside but if some one has done it and can chime in that would great.

The like 1 thing with the Fbody there is no real fix for this issue 
. The columns didn't change much if any, but like you said you're going to have to transfer over electronics. I am 99% sure you should be able to make this swap aside from the electronics.
