Let's see all the first gens!
So I understand this is a LS forum but I'm a die-hard first gen Camaro guy. I was born and raised in a drag racing family and surrounded by old muscle cars...specifically the 67-69 Camaro. We currently have 7 first gens in our family from projects to complete restos.
With that being said...I want to see pics of 1st gens!!! I don't care of the condition and I never judge...post em up! I'll start...
My standard 67 street/strip small block 4 speed car. Currently getting a face-lift including new built 383.
My Mom's 68 complete rotisserie resto-mod with a fuel injected 355 and TKO600.
My Dad's 69 RS with a mild 383 and super T10.
I'll post a few more when I can get pics of my brother-in-laws 67 LS1 4 speed build, my cousins 69 street/strip car with a 434 dart sbc and my other cousins 68 SS350 clone.
Let's see em!

Doug G I remember your car from previous posts. When I had my prostars they were almost twins! Nice car!
2JAWZ thank you Sir! Yes my 67 was the first one of the group I bought when I was 15. It's snowballed since then haha.
Here are a few more...
My cousin in FL just bought this one. Badass street/strip car fully done.
My brother in law's 67 getting built with a cammed LS1 and 4 speed.

Thanks! It's just a 327 with a Muncie 4-speed. I've got a FiTech EFI setup I'm going to put on soon, other than that it's probably going to stay as she is for the next few years. Eventually I'd like to bust it all apart and do a restoration and go with Marina Blue instead of the red. I'm not sure if I'll keep it as a standard, or go with an RS clone. Decisions, decisions, haha!

My 68. I've wanted a 68 Camaro since I was 12. It took me 18 years but I finally bought one. I have 3 1st gen Firebirds, but I could never find the right deal on a 68 Camaro. I bought it as a bare shell along with a 67. Sold the 67 for what I paid for both, so the 68 was free. It has very little rust, but the quarters and tail panel are beat. Both cars sat on their floors in a field for 20+ years, and the floors and rockers were totally solid.
The plan is to build it as cheap as possible with left over parts from other builds, and cheap junk yard or used stuff where possible. Once it's drivable in that state I'll drive it and gradually upgrade stuff. Ultimately I'd like to build an all aluminum BBC for it. I have enough LS powered cars already.
I already had a pair of doors. Used front sheet metal is almost impossible to find, so I finally bought new stuff. I put it on a sub frame and axle from a 77 TA I parted out. Hub width is only barely wider, the front suspension is an improvement over the 1st gen stuff, and of course the 8.5" axle is better than a 1st gen 8.2". I still need to modify the mounts and spring hangers, but I got it rolling for now. Wheels are cheap BMW 18s.
I have a t56 I bought cheap that needs a rebuild. I'll probably put a gen VI Vortec 454 in it and run it on a 411 pcm with LS coils and MPFI intake. I have various sets of front and rear LS and C5 brakes laying around I can swap onto it.
I'll need to get the rest of the body panels and do the metal work and paint. I've got some of the various hardware and glass left over from other cars. I'll piece together the rest of the little stuff with used parts where I can and buy new where I need to.
When I brought the Camaros home
Super solid underneath
Tail and quarters are beat to hell though. I think the guy said he backed into it with his tractor a few times lol.
The TA I got the sub frame and axle from. I have 2 2nd gens and recently sold a 3rd. I bought this 77 TA to part out and keep some things for my others. Paid $400, sold enough to get my money back, so the sub frame and axle were free.
Front sheet metal shipment
And finally its current state with everything loosely assembled and looking like a car again.
I'm eager to get this thing on the road, even with the body as is, but I need to finish some other projects first.
