auto to manual trans I love my 2002 Z28 but unfortunatley it's automatic. Im thinking about putting in a manual tanny and i realize the work that will go into this. I would have it done by a pro. because im in Iraq and cant do it. Is it advisable to do this or not? I hate having a auto, it's way less fun then manual.

There are a number of people who have converted both from manual to auto, and from auto to manual 
If you think you'd enjoy it more, and you've got the money (and obviously you have the time since you aren't needing your car now 
), I don't see why not.
