Seatbelt Retractor on 98 ss camaro
My seatbelt won't pull anymore, and it doesn't catch when I brake... so if I get in an accident, it will be useless.
Is it difficult to replace the seatbelt? Is it tough to get around the ceiling carpet, seats etc...
How much do you think it costs to by the replacement..
How much would it cost to have installed at the stealership?
thanks in advance-

Never had this prob before but most likely if you remove the plastic covers , the top and bottom parts should be held in place with a T45 or T50 torx. Seatbelts really aren't repairable so scrounging in a salvage yard would be your best best bet. A Camaro or Firebird should make a suitable donor.
