Engine Swap for 99 Camaro Z28
Hello,
How hard is it to swap about my current LS1 and drop in a built LS2 with forced induction. Or should I just build up an LS1 with forced induction. Which ones will give me better bang for the buck. Oh yea, I am not going to touch the current LS1. I would build everything from scratch.
Thanks
Tilly

Well, an LS2 swap would be a waste of money. The performance gains would be minimal compared to the pain in the *** factor/cost.
If your not using the current LS1 block you may want to find an LS6 block, which is basically an upgraded LS1 block, it will bolt right in, and be able to hold a little more power than the LS1.
As for forced induction... It can be as easy or hard as you want. You could get yourself an easy to install $3,500 STS rear mount turbo, up to a $20,000 TT setup making 1,000+hp.

I would like to be making between 600 to 700 hp. And yes I know, I need to update my uspension, clutch, rearend, rebuild tranny, brakes etc... I dont need 1,000 hp for a street car, it would be nice tho :-P.

And a properly built tranny, rear end and suspension settup would get you way into the tens
