Default 1989 TPI cam choices?

A buddy's '89 TPI IROC has Edelbrock headers, cutout and that's about it. It's an automatic. He wants a damn good street cam that will have great driveability and great power for street races . Can you give me some suggestions? Thanks.

TPI ...............................great power for street races? Maybe if you're racing stock SI's. I'm not the source for TPI mods, but it seems the power you're looking for is going to take more than just a cam.

a LPE 211 or 219

get rid of that intake in favor of a stealthram/LT1 converted intake/miniram
