Default camaro guru's come inside...

This is a really short question so I hope that I can get a really short answer. Did GM ever produce a SOM Camaro from the factory. And if they did what years would it have been produced in?

basically just 4th gens. the reason for the question is that i saw one of them and i just asked my buddy if that was an original factory color for the camaros? he said no. i said bullshit. so i just figured i would put up a post to see if i could find out for sure.

Yep, as stated above it was a regular factory color option in '01/'02. Avaliable on V6, Z28 and SS models.

There were a handful of late model year 2000 pilot cars with SOM on them as well. I had seen the actual number somewhere but cant remember where at the moment.

actually i believe in 2000 there was 1 camaro in SOM

According to the Camaro White Book, 13 models in 2000 got that color. 11 coupe & 2 conv.

found 2000 Z28 SOM in phoenix arizona. Looks awsome and definately sticks out.
