Default Difference between Z28 and SS Z28 LS1?

Just wondering what the SS package difference is on the LS1 SS cars vs. the Z28. Thanks in advance for the replies.

I thought on 01-02 everything was the same, but the suspension on 98-00 Z28/Trans Ams were inferior?

In what ways? That's why I asked. I am trying to figure out if it is worth the hassle of trying to find an SS if the Z28 is just as good. I am not so much concerned with cosmetics as I am the performance. I think the SS looks good, but I think they would be a bit harder to come by.

Well, I was going to hold out for a SS, then remembered that I was going to change the hood and rims. So now I have a Z28

C'monnnnnn.....everyone know's the SS's are faster.

But seriously, options depended on year, and I don't even really know which years got what. Generally, SS's got a better hood with "functional" air induction, a good looking spoiler, badges, bigger wheels, and a little suspension tweaking. No real world performance difference between the Z28 and SS.

that funincal hood may be offered but not best for set up. but they also offered a power steering cooler to add to the list.

but all and all dont think a SS will be faster then a Z... not dissing SS's, would love to have one but there the same all day
